Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

AA Preamble

The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop
drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are
self-supporting through our own contributions.

AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organisation or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes.

Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

AA Kupu whakataki

He hoanga tāngata tauawhi a Alcoholics Anonymous, ahakoa tāne mai, wāhine mai.

He kore utu, he kore nama rānei mō te mematanga AA; he rōpū motuhake mātou, mā ā mātou takohanga anō mātou e tautoko.

Kāore a AA i te piritahi ki tētahi rōpū wehe, tētahi hāhi, tētahi rōpū tōrangapū, tētahi whakahaere rānei; kāore rānei a AA i te hiahia uru atu ki ngā tautohetohe; kāore hoki e whakaae, e whakahē rānei i kaupapa kē atu.

Ko tō mātou aronga matua he noho taumauri, he āwhina hoki i te hunga wara waipiro ki te noho taumauri tonu.
